Room Details

Aratinga Inn is a tranquil pousada tucked away in the quiet streets of Abraão village on Ilha Grande, offering charming, cosy rooms and chalets immersed in nature. Due to its size and in keeping with its serene, eco-friendly vibe, Aratinga Inn does not cater to very young children, smokers or large groups.

Rennie and her team pay attention to the small details, and that is what makes this pousada special. If you arrive on a hot day, you’ll be greeted with ice cold face towels to help you cool off. After hiking or exploring nearby beaches, a delicious afternoon tea will be waiting for you back at the pousada.

Inside the rooms and chalets at Aratinga Inn

All rooms and chalets offer solid timber beds with sprung mattresses and premium linen. They also feature air conditioning, ceiling fans, a minibar and a TV with a DVD player.

The rooms are located in one building, with two on the upper floor, two on the ground floor. Each has its own balcony with a hammock. The two upstairs rooms – Jasmine and Orchid – offer sea and coastal mountain views.

There are five cosy, romantic chalets on offer – Frangipani, Tibouchina, Azalea, Heliconia and Hibiscus. They are all surrounded by tropical gardens and each has its own private balcony with a hammock, ideal for relaxing.

It’s worth remembering that the island gets very busy in summer time, and when it’s hot and everyone is using their air-conditioners, the power can cut out from time to time. Aratinga Inn has its own generator, so even when this happens, you can relax knowing that you’ll still have air-conditioning, internet access and electricity, no matter what.

Double rooms begin at R$440, double chalets at R$490 per night.
