Ceará is a sunny, windswept state in northeastern Brazil, offering 600kms of spectacular sandy coastline.

Ceará is home to the remote village of Jericoacoara (below), which is famous around the world for its ideal kitesurfing conditions, as well as its many chic restaurants and pousadas. Here you’ll find the sunset dune, a giant mountain of sand which offers the perfect view of Jeri’s memorable sunsets.

The state is home to the town of Canoa Quebrada. This locale offers large pink sand dunes and dramatic red cliffs along its seafront.

There is also the chic little village of Icaraizinho de Amontada, offering vistas made up of beaches, dunes, kite-surfers and lagoons. This is an idyllic place where all you can hear is the sound of the wind and the waves.
