Art Jungle Eco Lodge, or ‘A Arte na Mata’ as it’s known in Portuguese, is an ideal choice for lovers of eco-tourism and nature, who are looking for something truly unique and tranquil in tropical Itacaré.

This rustic pousada is around 3km (2 miles) from town, so it’s best suited to travellers who have their own car. Made up of nine unique bamboo stilt-houses, some of them teetering up in the treetops, the pousada’s hillside location gives sweeping views across the Rio da Contas and out to sea.
