Pousada Byblos is just a 3-minute walk from Búzios‘ main street, a scenic, leisurely stroll along the shoreline of Orla Bardot. While the pool may be small, the sunny pool deck offers sweeping views across Armação bay, with its bobbing boats and sparkling waters.

A hearty buffet breakfast is served by the pool or in the lounge each morning, an idyllic way to start each day. Búzios’ finest restaurants may literally be at your doorstep, but if you don’t feel like venturing far, the hotel whips up sandwiches, salads and omelettes for lunch and Byblos Bistro is open of an evening for dinner.

There’s a lounge area with views across the water and comfy sofas where guests can mingle. There’s also an outdoor bar which overlooks the bay – ideal for a sunset cocktail.

The pousadas has 21 suites, ranging from standard to sea view and superior. All rooms feel modern and spacious, with double beds, white walls with splashes of colour and big windows to let in the light and sea breeze. Each suite comes with an LCD TV, air-conditioning, minibar and an in-room safe. As the name suggests, sea view suites look out over the water and have their own private balconies. Superior rooms also have their own jacuzzis.

During low season (Mar – Nov), Standard rooms begin at R$531, for Ocean View rooms at R$703 per night. During high season (Dec – Mar) Standard rooms begin at R$679 and Ocean View rooms at R$864 per night.
