Casa de Perainda is an elegant property with white-washed walls, burnt cement floors and antique furnishings. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. They offer high ceilings, sumptuous bedding and traditional wooden shutters. Timber and tiles from properties now long gone have been given a stylish, second life here.

The relaxed gardens have plenty of shaded, comfortable corners. There’s also a swimming pool lined with volcanic stone from Indonesia. The staff speak Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Suites start from R$820 per night in low season and R$1,230 in high season. The bungalow starts at R$780 per night in low season and R$1170 in high season.
