Casas da Lia is a stunning property featuring two houses, Casa Laranja, and Casa Grande, as well as two suites.
Host Lia first arrived in Trancoso in 1977, and she chose the ideal slice of paradise to build her first home. Close to Trancoso’s quadrado, the heart of the town, Casas da Lia has spectacular views out across the sea.
The pousada’s garden is actually part of the Atlantic rainforest, and receives regular visits from birds, monkeys and sloths. If you’re looking for a true luxurious, private escape, nestled amongst nature, you’ve found it.

Casa Grande
With three air-conditioned suites, Casa Grande (the big house) features queen size beds in two rooms, while the superior suite has a king size bed, as well as a TV and minibar. All beds are super comfy and have mosquito nets.
There’s plenty of space to relax and unwind, with a lounge room, a living room, a dining room, as well as a full kitchen and bar with surround sound and wi-fi – perfect for entertaining. Enjoy the outdoors with tropical gardens, a sunny patio and a private infinity pool overlooking the ocean.
The home comes with daily housekeeping, a shopping service, breakfast and lunch service, as well as night watchman.
Casa Laranja
Casa Laranja (the orange house) features three air-conditioned suites, each featuring queen size beds, bathrooms and balconies. One of these suites is a master, located on the top floor and offering panoramic views, along with a TV and minibar.
This home has a fully equipped kitchen and cable TV, so it’s ideal for entertaining. Outside you have your own pool and patio to enjoy, as well as a garden filled with fruit trees overlooking the ocean.
This property comes with its own cook, gardener, housekeeping staff and night watchman.
Suíte superior
If you’re travelling alone or as a couple, the suites are an ideal choice. Their design make the most of the beautiful views, overlooking the beach, the forest and the swimming pool. You’ll sleep soundly in the comfy queen size bed with mosquito net. There’s also air conditioning, minibar and internet.
Suíte Jardim (Garden suite)
As the name suggests, this rustic-chic suite overlooks the pousada’s lush gardens, and features a queen size bed, air conditioning, cable TV, minibar and internet. Large windows let breeze flow through and the light-coloured decor adds to the suite’s relaxed, carefree vibe.
Prices vary depending on the season, but start at R$970 per night (for 2 people) with a 3-night minimum stay.
