It’s also welcomed its fair share of A-list guests over the years, including the likes of supermodel Gisele Bündchen. DPNY Ilhabela is the only 5-star hotel on the island. When you arrive at this hotel’s privileged location on spectacular Curral Beach, you’ll understand why it’s the star of Ilhabela.

With so many stylish outdoor spaces and unique places to eat and drink, you needn’t leave the hotel to have a memorable holiday. The hotel’s deep-blue heated pool overlooks the private beach front, surrounded by palm trees and white daybeds beneath umbrellas.

The hotel also has a luxurious spa overlooking the sea, which offers offers therapeutic and relaxation treatments, from massages and facials to personal trainer sessions and packages for couples and brides.

Wining and dining at DPNY Ilhabela

Tróia – upscale contemporary Mediterranean cuisine served in romantic, candlelit surrounds. The menu of this award-winning restaurant includes a range of pasta and risotto dishes, as well as grilled meats and seafoods. (Cost of main dishes range from R$62 – R$110).

Beach Bistrô – During the day, enjoy your feet in the sand as you munch on sandwiches, finger foods and seafood mains. Relax as you work your way through the diverse cocktail list. At night, the menu has a modern Mediterranean flavour, with pastas, risottos, grilled meats and seafood dishes on offer. (Cost of main dishes range from R$65 – R$170).

Terrace – Open for breakfast and lunch, this bright, modern locale whips up over an indulgent buffet breakfast with over 120 options, including waffles, omelettes, tapiocas and sparkling wine.

Sushi Bar – Enjoy a degustation sushi menu or make your own selections from a menu of traditional and contemporary sushi dishes.

Inside the suites at DPNY Ilhabela

This elegant hotel offers 83 luxurious suites with king size canopy beds, air-conditioning, cable TV, minibar and coffee machines. Some suites have sea views, some have their own jacuzzis and Nespresso coffee machines. The overall décor within suites is bright, bold and decadent – zebra print fabrics, crimson-tiled bathrooms and turquoise feature walls. Totally over the top in the best possible way.
