Room Details

Marta’s Rio Guesthouse is a 2-storey 1940’s art deco beachfront pousada. It has a sunny terrace overlooking Copacabana Beach and Sugarloaf Mountain. With its blue skies, golden beaches and jagged, soaring mountains, Rio de Janeiro is a city best appreciated from a great height. Surrounded by restaurants and bars, Marta’s Rio Guesthouse is located down the southern end of Copacabana. It’s just across the road from the beach and within walking distance to Ipanema.

Marta has hosted visitors to Rio for over 18 years and is a wealth of knowledge, due to working in the tourism industry for 3 decades or so. She speaks five languages, including English, German, Spanish and Italian, so you’ll have no trouble communicating.

The property offers six individually decorated rooms, three with en-suites and some with ocean views. Lovers of antiques will feel right at home here.

Double rooms begin at R$300 in low season (April – mid-December), R$480 upwards in high season (mid-December – March).
