When it comes to the things we love in a Brazilian hotel, Pousada Manatí ticks many boxes. It’s located directly on the beach, it’s both modern and rustic chic, and it has a knockout beachfront pool area with a spacious timber deck. In terms of the pool alone, Manatí arguably has the best in town.
The pousada offers plenty of quiet nooks and crannies where you can chill out. Sip a caipirinha under the gloriously large thatched roof of the poolside bar and restaurant. If you’re travelling with kids, the pousada offers a playground area, which will give Mum and Dad some much-needed respite. There’s a gym on site too, if all that relaxation is getting too much for you. The restaurant whips up elegant Brazilian dishes with a gourmet twist.

Pousada Manatí offers 29 individually styled apartments, decorated with locally sourced handicrafts. Acommodation is divided into four categories: Seafront bungalows, luxury apartments, chalets and the “casa de charme” or charming house. Every single room at this pousada has some sort of sea view. They’re all spacious and boast 300-thread-count cotton sheets, smart TVs with cable TV, air conditioning, hot showers and good quality wi-fi.
The bungalows, apartments and chalets are ideal for couples, while the casa de charme is ideal for large groups. With three suites and a charming living room with impossibly high ceilings, it can accommodate up to 9 people. The balcony overlooks the beach and every room has a king size bed and all the creature comforts you could hope for – stocked minibar, quality linen, high-speed internet and cable TV. What’s not to love?
