Nestled on a mountain overlooking the São Sebastião channel, Pousada Mariola offers 12 charming suites immersed in nature, close to Saco da Capela beach and the laid-back village of Ilhabela.

Pousada Mariola’s high vantage point commands impressive views across the water towards the mainland. It leaves you feeling high above the treetops. The pousada is designed with these stunning views in mind. There are floor-to-ceiling windows in the reception lounge, plus many large, breezy verandahs on which to relax and soak up the scenery. There’s an open, sunny pool deck surrounded by tropical gardens, with sun-loungers and umbrellas.

Please note that it’s a 20-minute walk to the historic village and it’s quite a steep trek back! You’ll enjoy this pousada much more if you have your own car.

All suites are spacious and comfortable with modern décor, neutral colour schemes and a light, breezy feel. They each have large balconies, ideal for relaxing and appreciating the views of the São Sebastião channel and the mountains beyond. All suites come with wifi, air-conditioning, a ceiling fan, in-room safes, cable TV and minibar. The super luxury suite has a jacuzzi with large windows so you can enjoy the views while you soak. There’s a solar hot water system, in keeping with the eco-friendly vibe of the pousada.
