Room Details
There’s no doubt, Pousada Segredos de Trancoso (Secrets of Trancoso) has one of the best addresses in town. This exquisite pousada is located right next to the historic little church in the heart of the village square. Made up of four charming houses, the pousada enjoys uninterrupted views out to sea.
Each house has its own outdoor deck with spectacular water views, where breakfast is served each day. All accommodations have double beds with mosquito nets, a flat-screen TV, sofa, a minibar, a hair dryer and in-room safe. Large windows let in the light and ocean breeze. Fresh flowers, timber furniture and whitewashed walls add to the carefree, coastal vibe.
The large, partially-shaded pool has soaring ocean views and plenty of comfy outdoor chairs and sofas to curl up on. However, there isn’t a pool bar, so bring your own beer/drinks! There isn’t a restaurant on site either, but there are plenty of lunch and dinner options right on the doorstep.
Privacy is the order of the day here – with lush lawns and superb water views, you will feel like you have a slice of paradise all to yourself.
If you’re a sucker for a beautiful view, and you’re looking for a centrally located pousada that also manages to avoid the night time noise, Pousada Segredos do Trancoso is an excellent choice.
Bungalows start at R$900 per night in low season (March – November) and in high season (December – February) they start at R$972 per night with a 2-night minimum stay.
