Soleluna Casa Pousada is just a 10-minute walk from the quadrado (village square) in Trancoso, offering 10 private, rustic-chic bungalows surrounded by tropical gardens. The pousada also runs a shuttle bus to and from the quadrado if you’re not in the mood for a stroll. The nearest beach, Rio da Barra, is about a 20-minute walk. We recommend driving to the beach or grabbing a taxi.

If you’re looking for privacy and tranquility, a peaceful respite from the buzz of the heart of town, Soleluna Casa Pousada is ideal. Wake up each day to birdsong and the sound of monkeys in the trees while you enjoy a delicious breakfast of tapiocas, eggs, fresh fruits and bread. There isn’t a restaurant on-site, but you’re only a short stroll from places to eat in town.

Inside the bungalows

The pousada offers a range of bungalows to suit a range of groups and sleeping arrangements. Some sleep 2, some up to 6. All accommodation features cable TV, canopy beds, spacious outdoor decks and air conditioning. Large sliding glass doors let in the light and the breeze. Décor feels bright and airy, with handmade crafts, light fabrics, timber accents and vaulted ceilings.

Some bungalows feature their own kitchens and private swimming pools surrounded by tropical foliage. The main villa features a spacious living room area with comfy sofas which opens out onto a private balcony.
